Chronologically, this probably shoulda been week I/II after I got home. I'm Trippy. You know this. Last warning on that. OK, so week I/II . What was I doing then? Oh Yeah. Finding my legs. See, I don't always talk about what happened when it gets weird. but that's for later. OK, here's my second family (Not counting the baby I'm holding, We at projct14a.blogspot.com have no idea why she's there, but she seems shocked to be on this blog too).
On the first side is my brothers and me. On the other side is my sisters. Mami and Dadi are, of course in the middle. The girls (except the third one with glasses) are their natural children. The rest are host children. I am jokingly referred to as the baby of the family (like they can't see the itty bitty ten year old on the bottom corner) . Anyway , ranting aside, this is our big happy family.
So, on my first week I was fasting, which is a mutt (a female one) when it's 100 C and feels like you can't breath because it's 95% humidity (I seriously believe that's the reason why you never see powdered drinks. Open one of those, and it's just gonna turn to Kool-Aid)
So I met an iguana my first night, that was fun. Seriously. I've always wanted there to be a 1.5 foot lizard close enough to attack me.
Mosquitoes are awesome too. I've always wanted 3D skin.
yes, later, I still look like this
They get really bad at night. I get bit up so much at leat once a week I have to get up 12/2/4 am to re bathe to kep myself sane and stop the itches. Guess what happened when I got back to bed? or laid on the couch?
Malaysian Toilets!- That's a fun one. If you're interested I can tell you why It's so rude to use your left hand in some Eastern cultures. Fascinating
And no Sour Patch Kids. Anyone who knew me in the USA knows of my addiction to them. This bothered me.
But good things happen too! I went to the kampung (Malaysian Village) That was pretty awesome. The holidays are great thing, because they really put emphasis on the fact that family's all the same, regardless of home, race, or religion. Everyone just wants to be happy, and be happy together. Also, mess with each other. I didn't speak Malay, but I know a one-liner when I hear one.
