The City of Angels

After getting off the plane to LA from Houston, I hopped on the shuttle that would take me to my hotel:
Not this hotel (I wish) . we stayed at the LAX Hacienda. Waiting in the lobby, I opened up my paper with AFS instructions. Lo and behold, a teenager walks up to me. "Dude, are you with AFS?" he asks. I tell him I am. "I am too." He says. We begin talking, and I find out he's Stuart, from Georgia, going to Malaysia on a YES Abroad scholarship. We walk into the Hacienda Hotel talking, making light jokes (internet culture and movies work worldwide, but more on that later. Anyways, We meet our contact people with AFS, a nice couple named Floyd and Polly. We entered  the hotel and met the rest of the AFSers.
from crescent moon to stripes: Ani (Anirudh), Ayinde (Me), Jenny, Carmen, Stuart, Emily, Julie, Kiki, and Jackie.

We went to the inside of the hotel, where I made (guess what) more small talk. This will not be the last time I say this, but Internet references and jokes about the temperature work well all over the world. Speaking of all over the world, We took the next day to tour in Los Angeles. (fancy accent) . We saw most of LA, including the Walk of Fame
That place where you can see the foot handprints (Chinese Theatre)
We also went to the In-N-Out Burger (Yumm) more pics on the way. signing out
